My Old Testament Bible Study Notebook
Both Bible Study Notebooks (Old Testament and New Testament) were created by one of our Miller Pads and Paper staff who served as a youth pastor. They were written with teen students in mind but can easily be used by any age student who is ready to learn the main elements of Bible study. The Old Testament Bible Study Notebook was written with special consideration for the historicity of the Old Testament. 60 sheets.
The student will learn to examine the text for:Location: The Old Testament takes place in various geographical locations. It is always important to know where the events are taking place
Genre: There are multiple genres of literature used throughout the Old Testament. Distinguishing which genre the reader is studying is important because it can determine how we interpret the Scriptures. The genres include poetry, historical, wisdom, apocalyptic, and law
Theme: What is this passage about?
Who is Involved: Includes God, any people, angels, etc.
Synopsis: Write an overview of the Scripture that you are studying and any interesting points you find. Write about any parallels you notice between what you've read and what the New Testament Scriptures may comment on or further reveal.
Life Application: The Bible is God's Living Word and is meant to be applied to our lives, not simply stored in our memory banks.
